Bella Hadid has turned the Cannes Film Festival into her own personal runway.
Whether she’s wearing the ultimate naked dress in Saint Laurent, or paying homage to her Palestinian culture in a Michael and Hushi keffiyeh dress, the supermodel knows how to use fashion to start a conversation.
Nowadays, when wearing archival fashion is a statement of its own, what could be better than a vintage Versace couture dress? Well, Bella Hadid would like to raise you two vintage Versace couture dresses. Yesterday, the Orebella founder hit the Croisette for the premiere of L’Amour Ouf in the closing look from the spring 2001 couture show, which was originally worn on the runway by Caroline Ribeiro.
The black dress featured a gauzy halter neck bodice and a basque waistline that led into a sequined skirt, which she accessorized with dangling Chopard earrings. Donatella Versace took to Instagram to comment on Hadid wearing the dress.
“[Y]ou bring the magic to the Cannes Film Festival,” she wrote.
