Anya Taylor-Joy was a sight to see as she surfaced in New York this week amid her publicity rounds for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
The 28-year-old plays the тιтle role in the origin story of Imperator Furiosa, the character first portrayed by Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road.
While dashing between media appearances in support of her new film, Anya has caught the eye with her eminently stylish ensembles.
For her latest sighting, she selected a swank Marni minidress that featured a striking black and electric blue print that was vaguely reminiscent of leopard spots.
Cinched in to emphasize her trim midriff, the outfit was cut high enough to show off Anya’s statuesque legs as she pounded the pavement.
Letting her curtains of platinum blonde hair down, she sharpened her winningly pixie-like features with a slick of scarlet lipstick.
She accessorized with a large pair of sunglᴀsses that matched her blank ankle-strap heels, lending the look a touch of glitz with a gleaming bracelet.
Her latest outing comes after she confessed she had no driver’s license before she had to stunt-drive for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
‘They just threw me in the car and went you’re going to do this. I was like: “Okay,”‘ she said while being interviewed with her co-star Chris Hemsworth on Lorraine.
She noted how ‘fun’ it was ‘that the first thing I learned how to do in a car was’ the strenuous stunts she had to perform for the movie.
‘I have fallen in love with it, I want to get my normal driving license, I want to get my stunt driving license. It’s a really cool way to learn how to drive.’
Fury Road starred Charlize Theron as Furiosa, an avenging warrior who leads a tribe of women in a relentlessly macho, post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Now Anya’s new movie is on the verge of release, relaying the heartrending origin story that turns Furiosa into a hardened, ruthless killer.
Anya plays the тιтle role of Furiosa, starting off as a long-haired beauty who turns into the cropped-haired, warpainted bruiser that Fury Road fans will instantly recognize.
The warlord Dementus, played by Chris, kidnaps her from her luscious, green homeland and out of the arms of her ‘magnificent’ mother.
Dementus and his gang are at that point waging a conflict with another warlord called Immortan Joe (Lachy Hulme) – later the villain of Mad Max: Fury Road.
During the events of the prequel, Immortan Joe is seen developing an alliance with Furiosa, who enters his employ on the basis of their common enemy.
