Megan Thee Stallion continued her #MeganMonday freestyle series with fly bars over a nostalgic pop beat. The Houston native chose to flex her skills over Far East Movement’s 2010 hit record “Like A G6.” Just as in the original electro-house track, the 29-year-old references Three 6 Mafia to make her point.
“Know I gotta stay fly like Three 6/Got the strap in my bag like a freak b**ch,” she raps to kick off the track. She continues to make pop culture references ranging from The Real Housewives of Atlanta to The Hunger Games.
“Megan this, Megan that, b**ch boo-hoo/you really mad Megan ain’t wanna f**k with you/dog a** bi**h, long hair like a Shih Tzu/Thumbin’ through this motherf**kin’ dough like fufu,” rhymes the Grammy-winning musician.
The freestyle, which sits at just under one minute, follows Megan Thee Stallion laying out lyrics over Gucci Mane’s 2010 track “I Think I Love Her,” her first #MeganMonday released on YouTube this year. Both tracks come as the “Cocky Af” rapper sets out on her first headlining tour.
With dates set everywhere from Chicago and Detroit to London and Paris, the Nike collaborator has H๏τties across the world covered with GlorRilla as her opening act. Additionally, the “H๏τ Girl Summer” tour comes with a handful of new tracks from Megan Thee Stallion.
The tracks “Hiss,” “Cobra,” and “Boa” all precede a pending album from the rapper, following her 2022 release Traumazine.
“I was inspired to create this album about rebirth because I feel I am becoming a new person physically and mentally,” detailed Megan Thee Stallion to Women’s Health. She continued to explain why she chose to incorporate snakes in her new era.
“They’re feared, misunderstood, respected, healing.”
