She stepped out after finishing her last ‘American Idol’ show.
Katy Perry is closing out her American Idol chapter in a golden head-turning sheer co-ord set. After the longtime judge hung up her hat during an emotional season finale, she headed out for a celebratory evening with fellow American Idol stars like Ryan Seacrest, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Ritchie. Orlando Bloom also made a rare sighting to show his support, sweetly putting a hand on his wife’s back as the couple left Catch restaurant at the end of the night.
Perry, who got visibly emotional throughout the three-hour finale earlier in the night, was the star of the evening in a sheer sequined ɴuᴅᴇ corset paired with a see-through matching skirt. Her sculptural bodice, which featured boning throughout and lingerie-esque satin lace-up detailing in the back, had a longer piece extending down the front of her skirt and a matching embellishment extending up past her right shoulder.
The “Roar” singer paired her structured top with an ultra sheer skirt made out of mesh fabric that was embroidered with gold sequins. The glam piece, which grazed the top of her ankles and showed off her strappy gold heels, was ruched on the left side with a thigh-high slit. She wore her signature dark blocks down in glam, middle-parted waves and added a pop of color with matte peach lipstick and black winged eyeliner.
Meanwhile, the Lord of the Rings alum went for a more casual look as he stepped out to support Perry. He wore a black-and-white bomber-style jacket over a тιԍнт white t-shirt, dark wash jeans in a relaxed fit, and white tennis shoes.
It was a big night for the “Dark Horse” star, who bowed out after seven seasons on the popular singing reality TV series. Perry–who’s been a mainstay since American Idol was revived on ABC in 2018–performed “What Makes a Woman” with third-place finalist Jack Blocker during the season 22 finale.
The singer first revealed that she was ending her American Idol tenure on Jimmy Kimmel Live! In February.
“You know, actually, this fall in September, I’m going to be doing this huge music festival in Brazil called Rock In Rio. It’s really exciting,” Perry told the host at the time. “’It’s a big deal. It’s a big deal for people all over the world, especially for my Brazilian fans. I think this probably will be my last show, my last season for Idol. I mean, I love Idol so much.”
