Katy Perry was a smoldering sensation in a new Instagram snap she posted Tuesday promoting American Idol.
The 36-year-old pop star has been a judge on the program since 2017 – when it was reported she was earning $25 million for the gig.
In her latest snap she posed up a storm in a gleaming orange cocktail dress with a slit up the side allowing her to show off her knockout legs.
Katy balanced on a pair of sky-high heels and struck a fashionista pose in front of a mᴀssive display of letters spelling out ‘IDOL.’
The now world-famous compeтιтion program inaugurated its 20th season recently – and Katy celebrated with her co-stars.
She and her co-judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan got together with the longtime host Ryan Seacrest to cut a cake marking the occasion.
In her new Instagram album promoting the season Katy included a picture of herself cozying up to Lionel, Luke and Ryan in front of the cake.
Her post comes amid rumors that she will be serving as one of her friend Ellen DeGeneres’ upcoming guest hosts on her long-running talk show.
Ellen will wrap up the show when her contract extension expires at the end of the current 19th season, whereupon the time slot will be handed over to Kelly Clarkson.
Katy is said to be taking over the October 25th episode of the program, which happens to fall on her birthday, according to a report from Headline Planet.
She was one of the few celebrity friends who loyally defended Ellen in public last year when the talk-show queen was mired in scandal over allegations she presided over a toxic work environment.
As her personal life goes Katy has a one-year-old daughter called Daisy by her fiance Orlando Bloom who gave her a ring reported to be worth $5 million.
Katy recently gave an interview to Variety where she reflected: ‘As a new mom, those first six weeks are like: “What?” It’s just the biggest life change ever.’
She noted: ‘You’re responsible for someone’s well-being that can’t even hold their head up. It’s a real shift, and you become not No. 1 on the call sheet.’
Katy spilled: ‘And it’s the best. Everything that’s supposed to fade away, fades away, and a balance comes in. I like to live more in the real world for now.’
