We are officially less than a day away from the 2024 Met Gala, and the event’s co-chairs are already bringing out their fashion A game.
Jennifer Lopez, in particular, is using her New York City street style to remind us why she’s one of the evening’s fashion icons. On Sunday, the star headed out in two very different looks, which went from business to pleasure.
First, she stepped out in a monochromatic brown ensemble, tucking a stretchy camel boatneck top from Intimissimi into a khaki maxi skirt with a major center leg slit in the front. She layered the look with a boxy blazer covered in a mocha-brown tartan pattern, and then upped the ante by adding knee-high stiletto boots from Saint Laurent in a glazed caramel color. She finished off the look with a round of signature accessories, from a brown Hermès crocodile Birkin bag to a pair of ’70s-esque black aviator sunglᴀsses.
Later in the evening, Lopez swapped her boardroom fit for something a little more glamorous. She slipped into a strapless black velvet evening gown designed by Diana Qerimi. The knockout piece featured glittering pearl-shaped crystal embellishments all over, as well as a unique sculpted neckline.
To accessorize, she completed the look with a black satin clutch by Tyler Ellis, glossy black platform heels from Casadei, and an array of diamond-encrusted jewelry from Yeprem.
