Love Island star Eve Gale has revealed she’s dating TOWIE star Demi Sims after the pair enjoyed a flirty friendship for years.
The reality star, 24, previously appeared on the villa’s All Stars series with her sister Jess, and despite a short-lived romance with Casey O’Gorman, failed to make a lasting connection.
Now, Eve has revealed that she and Demi have enjoyed their first date together, with another night out already in the works.
The twins divulged details on their love life while appearing on Demi’s Sims Squared podcast, alongside her sister Frankie.
Demi said: ‘Me and Eve went on a date last week for anyone watching and it was our first date, wasn’t it?’
Eve added: ‘We kind of had other dates, but it’s not been a date date. That was like our first date. I had the best time.’
Eve shared that she and Demi had previously been pals for three years, after meeting at a Boohoo event in London after lockdown.
Describing their first date, Demi told listeners: ‘I was nervous [the date] was going to get awkward, you know because usually we’ve always got people around?
‘I was thinking, ”Is there going to be any awkward silences?”, then when I picked you up, you were chewing my ear off. I actually didn’t get a word in.
‘And then we got there, had a drink, had so much food… and yeah, it was quite a short date to be fair.
‘It was quite a private date, though, because we were in Amazonico and we were in this booth and everyone was behind us. People ᴀssume we’re besties, don’t they?’
But Eve admitted that she only had eyes for Demi, adding: ‘I said this to Demi, I never would actually go on a date with another girl.’
Last week she also made the surprise admission that she enjoyed a date with Jason Derulo during her trip to Miami.
Speaking on The Sun’s All Stars podcast, she said: ‘I was in Miami when I met him and then he was in London filming. He’s doing some kind of show so when he’s in London I see him.
‘He hired out a restaurant in Mayfair. We’ll just leave it as we went on a date!’
Eve’s return to the Love Island villa proved to be short-lived as she and Casey were dumped from the villa after their romance broke down.
The couple struck up a relationship when Eve arrived in the villa with her twin sister Jess and Joe Garrett.
Before Casey had a chance to speak to Eve, Callum Jones informed Sophie of the situation and swiftly pulled Eve to break the news.
Callum said: ‘He’s just wondering if that can be a real thing. I think he’s going to speak to her anyway and have a conversation with her.’
Sophie told Eve: ‘I’ve just been informed something…basically Casey is now saying he doesn’t know if him and Eve can work on the outside.’
Eve said: ‘What? To me he literally says completely different…’
After a brief conversation with Jess and Sophie, Eve pulled Casey and said: ‘I’ve just heard that you’ve been like to Callum, “Oh, yeah I don’t see a future with Eve”.’
Casey said: ‘I didn’t say that. That’s a lie. They said how’s things been going with Eve and I said, “Yeah, really good but I’m not sure if I see that spark yet…”‘
Eve responded: ‘Apparently you said you don’t see a future with me?’ while Casey insisted: ‘I didn’t say that.
‘Well they said you did. It’s not like I’m sat here thinking about how like the future, me and you are going to get married and stuff. I’m just enjoying my time.’
She added: ‘I think it’s a bit muggy…I feel like you’re just trying to put me down…’
Casey tried to defend himself and said: ‘That’s been taken way out of context.’
But Eve sH๏τ back: ‘Well, I don’t think it had Casey because it’s come from somewhere…’
Casey added: ‘I was just being totally honest with them…it’s really not that deep.’
Eve continued: ‘Well it’s kind of deep to me to be honest…’
Elsewhere, it was reported last week that Jess had split from Callum Jones, just five weeks after they finished as runner-up during the All Stars final, following an explosive row at Molly Smith’s clothing launch party.
