While Lopez indulged in some retail therapy, Affleck spent the previous day volunteering at Midnight Mission with Garner and their three children—Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.

The actor reportedly ‘felt blessed’ to share a cozy meal with the family at Garner’s home, especially amid his ongoing divorce from Lopez.

On Thursday, Affleck was seen getting close to Garner as they worked together at the non-profit, helping to feed 2,000 homeless people in downtown Los Angeles.

The two were spotted whispering to each other, further fueling speculation about their close bond.

A source told Page Six that Ben ‘felt blessed’ to spend Thanksgiving with his ex-wife and children, adding that he ‘can just be himself’ around Garner.

The former couple were married from 2005 until their split was announced in 2015. Three years later, their divorce was officially finalized in 2018.

‘Even though Ben and Jen have been split for a while now, he feels a certain level of comfort with her,’ the insider continued.

‘Ben has a strong relationship with Jen that will never dissipate because they have a lot of history together and she’s the mother of his kids.’

The source further informed the outlet that Affleck and Garner have spent other Thanksgiving holidays together since their separation.

‘They’ll always be close because they share children together and maintain a friendly co-parenting relationship.’
