August kicks off in Spain with extreme temperatures, and like all those who have fled the peninsula in search of cooler lands, celebrities have relocated to the Balearic Islands and the Mediterranean Coast until further notice. The beaches of Ibiza, Menorca, or the Costa Brava become catwalks where both national and international celebrities strut their stuff, showcasing this year’s swimwear trends in an impromptu fashion.
Beach styles have become more sophisticated along with beach bars. Going in any way to sunbathe is no longer in fashion. Now, over the swimsuit or two-piece, linen shirt dresses, printed pareos, or crochet net tunics are worn.
