Why settle for one jaw-dropping look when you can wear two?
That seems to be Cardi B’s motto for the night. The rapper wore two different glamorous outfits for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards held at Los Angeles’s Crypto.com Arena.
Taking the stage tonight to present the award for Best Rap Album (which ultimately went to Kendrick Lamar for Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers), Cardi swapped outfits for a dress made of pointy reflective strips strung together, a look from the Paco Rabanne spring/summer 2021 ready-to-wear runway that effortlessly blended futurism and medieval armor.
Her accessories only heightened the drama: She put on a chain-mail headdress with strips of metal that partially covered her face, plus a silver cuff bracelet and metallic platform heels.
Earlier in the night, Cardi walked the red carpet in a stunning electric blue gown from Gaurav Gupta’s spring/summer 2023 haute couture runway. The dress featured pleated structural details that ebbed and flowed from her shoulders, around her waist, and to the top of her head, the latter forming an abstract hooded effect. Other details included a diagonal cutout across her torso, a sleek skirt, and dramatic train.
Though she wore no necklace, she accessorized via a diamond bracelet and diamond hoop earrings.
