Boots weren’t made for sitting by the door, but they’re perfect for walking down the red carpet at the 53rd annual Country Music ᴀssociation Awards.

As Grammy Award-winning singer Kacey Musgraves’s guest for the night, model Gigi Hadid showed off some country flair in a pair of chic, white cowboy boots at the 53rd CMA Awards. She complemented the quintessential footwear with a nearly transparent maxi dress by Helmut Lang, in which she wore a simple white bra and underwear beneath.

The dress’s high neckline and shimmering fabric provided the perfect edge to a traditional country getup, emulating the perfect Hollywood and Wild West hybrid. For accessories, Hadid went for jewelry by Graziela Gems, Melinda Maria, Established and Nouvel Heritage, according to Red Carpet Fashion Awards.

Meanwhile, Musgraves went bold in a feathered and sequined Valentino dress. The bright yellow and glittering embellishments were a fun contrast to Hadid’s neutral tones. Balancing out the daring fit, the country star opted for some ɴuᴅᴇ Christian Louboutin pumps for footwear.

Musgraves won big at the 53rd CMAS, scoring wins in two categories: Female Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year (for her single, “Rainbow”).
