Katy Perry embraced an edgy aesthetic for her appearance at the “Diane von Furstenberg: Woman In Charge” documentary premiere in Paris on Monday. The red carpet event was ideal for Perry’s ensemble of choice, merging a futuristic design with the pop star’s current Y2K-inspired style era.
For her look at Monday’s premiere, Perry opted for a selection from fashion brand Artemisi. The former “American Idol” judge’s look featured a floor-length gray skirt with several ring cutouts and metallic embellishments. The skirt coordinated with the rest of the ensemble for an edgy monochromatic look.
Perry’s look also included a sleeveless crop top, which included laced up detailing on the front placket. The ensemble was finished off with a voluminous jacket, which Perry wore off her shoulders. The jacket featured a spike-like design.
When it came to her glam, Perry opted to keep her look clean and simple. She wore her raven-black hair down in soft waves and opted for a natural makeup look, along with a hint of a smokey eye with defined eyebrows and a soft pink lip.
Perry’s approach to her style over the course of the last several months has embraced the experiment of fresh designers, sculptural elements and more. In her final season as a judge on “American Idol,” Perry opted for a number of looks that combined such aforementioned qualities.
Throughout Season 22 of the reality compeтιтion series, Perry wore looks by Coperni, Kate Barton and Balenciaga, among others. Her finale look by Grace Ling Couture featured a symbolic golden rose bouquet breastplate with seven roses, honoring the seven seasons she appeared as a judge on “American Idol.”
