That is why she has taken a role in the new series Palm Royale with Kristen Wiig and Allison Janney.

She credits her famous folks with giving her the support to make the transition from modeling to acting. The young multi-hyphenate is the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford, 57, and businessman Rande Gerber, 61.

‘I can actually ask my parents advice on career things, on business things,’ she said.

‘That’s very rare, to have parents who are in the same industry or career as you, whose advice you actually can trust.’

The industry veteran made her comments as she bared her toned abs as the cover model for the WSJ. Magazine Fashion Issue.

Although she is considered a ‘nepo baby’ in the entertainment industry, Kaia is happy to let them show her some of the ropes.

‘I don’t think it’s a topic that will go away, so I’ve clearly reached a point of acceptance,’ she says. ‘I personally am very aware of all the wonderful things it has done for me, and I would never, ever say anything negative about it, because that is my truth about it.’

It wasn’t always that way, and her frustration lead to her starting her own book club, Library Science, on social media.

‘I think that a big part for me of starting a book club is I did reach a point where I really resented [fame] and felt angry,’ she revealed.

‘And then all of a sudden, I was like, “This gives me something. This can be a gift.”’

Kaia was also in the bawdy teen comedy Bottoms, about two teen girls who form a fight club to in a plot to lose their virginity to cheerleaders.

Not surprisingly, the young actress was cast as one of the coveted cheerleaders.

The film received a 90-percent critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

‘Comedy was something I didn’t think I could do, and I don’t think a lot of people also thought I could do it,’ she said.

‘And I think one of the hardest things is to not be in on the joke. I think that maybe that’s why I’ve been able to do comedy in the way that I have, because I am not a comedian: I’m earnest and I am truthful.’

She has recently completed work on the mini-series Palm Royale with Kristen Wiig, as a woman who tries to build a new idenтιтy after being by her husband and her entire social circle.

Kaia stars as a manicurist who wants to be a model and gets some tips from Kristen’s character Maxine.

‘Yeah, here I am trying to show Kaia Gerber how to model-walk,’ the SNL alum said. ‘We definitely had fun with that one.’

The burgeoning actress is good friends with Camila Morrone, who has already made the transition from modeling to acting.

The Daisy Jones and the Six star was impressed by her pal’s determination.

‘She’s already as successful as it gets in the modeling career, and she really took a leap of faith, believed in herself, studied,’ the Marmalade actress said.

‘When she decided that she was going to go for acting and give it a sH๏τ, it was completely fearless and it became her sole focus.’

Kaia, who admitted she does her best to stay away from social media, posted a link to the article and a thank you on her Instagram account Tuesday.

‘Wonderful coffee date and conversation with sweet sensitive (Josh Duboff). Also thank you to all of my friends/heroes who said kind words about me. i actually have to pinch myself that i get to know and love you in this lifetime.’

As to why she limits her social media activities, the Babylon actress explained, ‘I’m very sensitive, so I don’t keep social media on my phone.

‘And that’s just something I’ve learned about myself, because it is hard to stay off of it.

‘I personally haven’t found a time in the last three years where I’ve gone on something like Instagram and left feeling better than I did before,’ she contended.

As it was an article for the fashion issue, pH๏τographer Lachlan Bailey made sure to capture the model in a variety of sultry sH๏τs, many of them in skimpy swimsuits.

For the cover, she was styled in a white string ʙικιɴι bottom and a sheer lace top with nothing underneath and a pair of black biker boots and placed in front of a ranch-style house with a green fence.

Her dark hair was styled in loose waves and she appeared to be wearing little makeup.

The headline called her a ‘Breath of Fresh air.’

And the publication listed exactly what the model was wearing so her 10 million followers would know exactly what to look for if they wanted to replicate the ensemble.

Golden Globe winner Ayo Edebiri, who starred with Kaia in Bottoms said, ‘She’s obviously the most well-read person I’ve probably met outside of my friends who are English majors.’

‘That girl be reading. That girl be reading, and she finishes them. A lot of the girls don’t finish the book. They just post ’em.’

As someone who spent her teen years working as a model, Kaia has come to accept that there is more ahead than a life on the runway.

She said when she first began working ‘If you had asked me what my dreams were, I would have said something totally different. Lately, the thing that I’ve been telling myself is, ‘Maybe your life isn’t going to be what you thought it was going to be—maybe it’s going to be so much better.”‘

With her higher profile comes higher interest in Kaia’s personal life, specifically her relationship with her boyfriend, Elvis star Austen Butler, 32. The savvy star is keeping mum on the subject, explaining, ‘Honestly, I feel like so few things in my life are private, and that is one of the things that I try to keep as sacred as possible.’
