She’s a pop superstar.
And Katy Perry lived up to her reputation as she put on a spectacular show in Dubai on Tuesday evening, wowing the crowds in a sparkling, star-print leotard as she belted out her biggest hits.
The US star hit the stage for a jaw-dropping 90 minute set at the famous Atlantis resort for the Dubai Airshow Gala dinner.
Katy, 31, looked incredible in her fabulous stage costume, showing off her curves in the tiny glittery leotard paired with fishnets.
The skimpy number was covered in sparkling stars and featured a silver belt and a cape-style miniskirt.
A pair of thigh-high lace-up boots gave the ensemble a superhero feel, while the popstar added to the glam vibe with a high ponytail and lashing of glitzy makeup.
Dubai Airports, operator of the world’s number one international airport, in cooperation with Dubai Duty Free and Emirates airline, set the stage for the launch of musicDXB as Katy wowed with a breath-taking performance at the invitation-only event.
The spectacular 90 minute show featured hits from her Prismatic Tour, which she wrapped up last month, including I Kissed A Girl and Roar.
The performance culminated with a rendition of Fireworks as a firework display lit up the Dubai sky behind her.
Katy put on an extremely flirty display with one smartly dressed member of the audience, a Wing Commander from the Royal Airforce named Mike Woods.
The Newcastle native was given a fantastic 48th birthday present when the I Kissed A Girl hitmaker serenaded him, saying: ‘Come here… Let me loosen your tie a little bit.’
As she was lifted into the crowd, Katy was forced to bat away an overzealous member of the audience: ‘Down boy, down boy, down!’
‘I’m pretty sure there are some parents in here,’ she began. ‘Whose kids are very angry at you right now. They don’t know what Boeing is but they know what a Katy Perry is.
‘So if you don’t have fun for them… You are letting them down. Don’t let them children down. They will torture you for weeks.’
She went on: ‘Mike you’re looking right into my heart. Can I ask you, have you ever had a pop star dedicate a song to you?’
Katy teasingly mocked his Geordie accent before thanking him for his work in Afghanistan and performing the hit song Birthday as a tribute to him.
Before Katy hit the stage, Britain’s Got Talent finalists Jack Pack warmed up guests by putting their contemporary stamp on much-loved classics from their self-тιтled debut album.
Katy’s performance was the latest in the star-studded history of Dubai Airshow Gala Dinner as crowds have been previously entertained by luminaries including Stevie Wonder, Rod Stewart, Diana Ross, Michael Bolton, Tom Jones, and George Benson among others.
Jack Pack, will launch the musicDXB programme on November 11 with a pop up concert at Dubai International, ahead of performances from global superstars, and up-and-coming artists who will entertain pᴀssengers pᴀssing through the world’s busiest international airport.
