Dua Lipa cuts a very casual figure as she arrives in New York City with her father Dukagjin ahead of the TIME100 Gala

Dua Lipa cut a casual figure as she made her way through New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport with her father Dukagjin on Monday.

The singer, 28, arrived in the US ahead of the TIME100 Summit and TIME100 Gala this week after she was named one of the world’s most influential people by the magazine.

Pop star Dua wore a green GAP hoodie under an open quilted black coat, which she teamed with a pair of comfortable blue and red tracksuit bottoms.

She completed her look by opting for some black trainers and carried a black bag full of belongings with her.

The recording artist donned a pair of blue tinted glᴀsses as she walked through the terminal.

Dua’s father, 55, wore a black jacket over hoodie in the same colour as he walked alongside his famous daugter.

He opted for some black trousers and a pair of brown boots, and carried a holdall with him.

Time Magazine released their annual list of the hundred most influential people in the world last week.

Each of those on the list have a tribute written to them and Dua’s was written by American singer and songwriter Patti Smith.

The annual gala for the list will take place in New York City next week on April 25.

A primetime television special will air at a later date on May 12 on ABC in the US and the full list can be seen on Time’s website.

In the pages of the magazine, Dua opened up about her cross over into the world of acting with her roles in Barbie and Argylle this past year.

The Albanian hitmaker played the role of Mermaid Barbie and sang Dance the Night for the hit 2023 Barbie film.

In Argylle, she made a cameo as LaGrange and played the role of, Henry Cavill’s character, Argylle’s love interest.

She told TIME Magazine that she referrers to these two as ‘little baby roles’.

Time Magazine released their annual list of the hundred most influential people in the world last week, with Dud included

‘I loved being on set,’ the singer turned actress shared. ‘I love the idea of embodying a different character and having an ᴀssignment. I also love when I go to a pH๏τo shoot, and I can completely change up my look,’ she said. ‘It gives me like a different persona.’

On her role in the Barbie film she added, ‘I loved being in the movie because it was just so exciting to be a part of something so special like this with an incredible cast.’
