Following their brief reunion in London over last week, it was off in different directions again for couple Katy Perry and Russell Brand today.

After a brief sojourn to Dublin to be a guest judge on The X Factor on Monday, the American singer then flew to Paris to carry on promoting her new album Teenage Dream.

Just days after Perry tried to shoot down reports the couple had already married in secret, her fiance was spotted in New York today wearing a gold band on his wedding finger.

The pop star sparked the speculation on the Graham Norton Show last week when she said: ‘Life’s never dull with him – that’s why I married him.’

She then furiously tried to backtrack, saying: ‘That’s why I’m marrying him.’

Brand has said he already feels like he’s married to his bride-to-be, saying: ‘I call her my wife already, it’s nice. I’m quite excited about it when I think about it (the wedding) now, but sometimes you’re nervous, of course.’

The comedian’s decision to wear a ring on his finger as he left Robert De Niro’s Greenwich H๏τel will no doubt fuel further rumours they are already wed.

Making jokes about the H๏τel’s owner on his Twitter page, Brand wrote: ‘The problem with staying in Bob DeNiro’s H๏τel is you can’t complain when breakfast don’t come. “You talkin to me…?”

‘I asked housekeeping if I could get my underpants laundered and was called “a f**kin’ mook”.’

Brand arrived in New York this week to continue promoting his new film Get Him To The Greek after watching the England V Germany game in London on Sunday.

Meanwhile, his fiancee is equally busy after a week of jet-setting.

After flying from Toronto to London, to Dublin and now Paris in the past week, the I Kissed A Girl singer is understandably feeling a bit tired.

She wrote on her Twitter page today: ‘Hello Paris!!! (yes, I don’t sleep)…

‘I take back that confident feeling about having no sleep. I’m gonna be a pain in the a*s today… I can feel it.’

Perry is also recovering from a leg injury 10 days ago after ending up with 17 sтιтches in her leg after falling over at the MuchMusic Video Music Awards after-party in Canada.

The pair got engaged in India over the New Year and they are planning to wed in September – exactly a year after they started dating.

While his manager Nick is organising Brand’s stag night, Perry has enlisted singer pal Rihanna to take charge of her hen night.

But Perry has one request – that Rihanna provide the stripping entertainment instead of a burly male.

Perry said: ‘Well you know you see people coming and they strip at your bachelorette party? I want her to strip at my bachelorette party.’
