Doja Cat oozes Sєx appeal in the edgy music video for her new single MASC featuring rapper/singer Teezo Touchdown, which was released Thursday.
The musical artist, 28, delivered stunning visuals for her legion of fans while lip-syncing the song’s lyrics under a bright spotlight.
Doja — real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini — models a shiny headdress made of silver keys with her body wrapped in brown gauze.
MASC is featured on the new deluxe edition of her fourth studio album, тιтled Scarlet II: Claude, which includes seven brand new songs.
The first iteration, consisting of 15 songs, was released in September and earned three Grammy nominations.
The MASC music video kicks off with a stunning close-up of Doja wearing smart spectacles and her bleach blond buzzcut.
The spotlight moves around the set, casting shadows on Doja that resemble a spider’s legs.
The Los Angeles native first appears in a Sєxy black one-piece with matching opera gloves and thigh-high boots.
She then emerges in her sparkly key-filled headdress, which she styled with a sheer brown mesh bra top and high-waisted gray underwear.
The fit star dances under the bright light and caresses her physique before an eerie, demon-like shadow is cast over her.
For Teezo Touchdown’s verse, the Texas-raised rapper flips back and forth between two contrasting glam rock looks.
He first models a white jacket covered in white spikes before slipping into a black leather leotard with futuristic shoulder pads.
Doja and Teezo are filmed together in silhouette before sharing the blinding spotlight at the music video’s close.
Doja’s new album is a deluxe edition of her fourth studio album Scarlet, which Doja dropped last September to a glowing response from her fans.
The first iteration of Scarlet included the hit singles Attention and Paint The Town Red, both of which entered the top 40.
Now a follow-up edition is in the offing with new music – some of which Doja beguilingly teased on her Instagram page Tuesday.
Her voice rings out ethereally: ‘Boy, we way too bold for this s***,’ with some electronic alterations to give the sound a robotic, sci-fi feel.
In keeping with the audio aesthetic of the number, Doja can be seen dancing around in a futuristic outfit, sH๏τ in silhouette to lend the clip an air of mystery.
Scarlet 2 Claude was initially called Scarlet II: Claude Frollo, named after the villain in Victor Hugo’s novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
She plugged the release on Tuesday by sharing a cheeky pH๏τos of herself with her back turned to the camera.
The sensational image was quickly followed by a post on her main Instagram page revealing that her next album Scarlet 2 Claude is out this Friday, April 5.
To Doja’s dismay, the album was leaked before its official release.
And fans were quick to dissect the lyrics on the new tracks, specifically Acknowledge Me, which some felt was a swipe at Cardi B.
But after one fan on the platform asked Doja which track she ‘whacked’ Cardi on, a furious Doja fired back, ‘None of them get a f***in life.’
The rapper then clarified that the celebrity name used in the verse of the song is actually Canadian pop star Carly Rae Jepsen, claiming she raps ‘Carly Rae’ not ‘Cardi B.’
She also ᴀssured fans that she wasn’t bothered by the leaks of the album, replying: ‘But it doesn’t make the music sound better or worse so why does it matter?’
In another playful post on X, she declared that the ‘big three’ in the rap genre currently is Pitbull, Chingy and Baby Bash.
