She’s no stranger to wild costumes onstage and off.
So Katy Perry was proud to show off her daring sartorial skills in a new cover shoot for Vogue Australia out Tuesday.
For the pH๏τos the Roar pop star turned heads in an array of wigs, transforming from bombshell blonde to sultry red head and then some.
In one pH๏τo the seductive starlet draped herself in a red fur coat with a peek of peachy lace underneath.
Another showed Katy flashing flesh in a sheer black gown with gorgeous blue and green sequins scattered about.
The spread was pH๏τographed by Emma Summerton and styled by Vogue Australia fashion director Christine Centenera.
The piece was accompanied with an interview by Perry’s close friend Derek Blasberg.
She talked about her love for music and how the mixed success of her album Witness made her reevaluate things.
‘Music is my first love and I think it was the universe saying: “Okay, you speak all of this language about self-love and authenticity, but we are going to put you through another test and take away any kind of validating “blankie.”
‘”Then we’ll see how much you do truly love yourself.” That brokenness, plus me opening up to a greater, higher power and reconnecting with divinity, gave me a wholeness I never had.
She also talked about the power of her transcendental meditation practice, saying: ‘It gave me a new foundation. It’s not just a material foundation: it’s a soul foundation.’
She also gave fans a small relationship update with close pal Blasberg relaying: ‘For the record, her and Orlando are good, thanks.’
Katy is currently wrapping up her world tour, with dates in Australia and New Zealand next month.
