Shakira dropped jaws as she graced the cover of Allure’s April 2024 issue – while opening up about her painful split from Gerard Pique in 2022.
The songstress, 47, who recently sparked romance rumors with Emily In Paris star Lucien Laviscount, worked her magic in a Sєxy bandeau top and short shorts as she poses up a storm in pages inside the glossy.
Her blonde hair cascades down in long, loose waves and she sH๏τs the camera a smoldering look, her looks amplified with a radiant coat of eye shadow and glossy pout.
She sports chunky, translucent bracelets and a fashionable belt.
On the cover, she dons a Sєxy, plunging black top with a metallic bust as her hand gracefully rests on her hip.
Shakira also spoke with the outlet about her new album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, she said she wanted the ‘music to build bridges, to empower people, to help women discover their own strengths.’
The album was released following her split from long-term partner Gerard Piqué, 37. The former couple were together for 11 years from 2011-2022 and share sons Milan, 11, and Sasha, nine.
‘I was in the mud,’ she said, referencing their separation. ‘I had to reconstruct myself, to reunite all the pieces that had fallen apart.’
She previously told The Sunday Times: ‘For a long time I put my career on hold, to be next to Gerard, so he could play football,’ Shakira said. ‘There was a lot of sacrifice for love.’
Shakira and Piqué met in 2010 on the set of the songstress’ Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)’ music video.
They took their relationship public in May 2011, welcomed son Milan in 2013, and Sasha in 2015.
Speaking of her latest album, she said: ‘Making this music has shown me that my pain can be transformed into creativity. The songs are full of anecdotes and some very intense emotions I have experienced in these two years.
‘But creating this album has been a transformation in which I have been reborn as a woman. I have rebuilt myself in the ways I believe are appropriate.
‘No one tells me how to cry or when to cry, no one tells me how to raise my children, no one tells me how I become a better version of myself. I decide that.’
As of late, Shakira has been sparking romance rumors with Emily In Paris star Lucien Laviscount.
In the music video for Punteria, her new track with Cardi B, Lucien plays a centaur struck by Shakira’s arrow.
‘The centaurs, they’re in ecstasy,’ she explained. ‘Because on this planet, the men are happy to be dominated by women.’
She also opened up about watching the smash hit Barbie movie, telling the publication her sons didn’t enjoy the movie.
‘My sons absolutely hated it. They felt that it was emasculating. And I agree, to a certain extent. I’m raising two boys. I want ’em to feel powerful too [while] respecting women. I like pop culture when it attempts to empower women without robbing men of their possibility to be men, to also protect and provide,’ she said.
‘I believe in giving women all the tools and the trust that we can do it all without losing our essence, without losing our femininity. I think that men have a purpose in society and women have another purpose as well. We complement each other, and that complement should not be lost,’ she added.
It comes after Shakira recently discussed ‘rebuilding’ her life following her split from her ex after eleven years.
She previously said she feels like she’s having a career renaissance after her headline-grabbing split from the footballer in 2022.
Her highly anticipated 12th studio album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran was released March 22.
Speaking to The Sunday Times newspaper, Shakira described the project as ‘the transformation of pain into creativity, frustration into productivity, anger into pᴀssion, vulnerability into resilience.’
‘There were so many pieces of my life that crumbled in front of my eyes and I had to rebuild myself in a way, picking up the bones from the floor and putting them all together. And the glue that kept it all together was music.’
Shakira added: ‘It’s very feminine and beautiful, with a very interesting story that is an analogy to women’s empowerment.’
In The Sunday Times, Shakira explained how she balanced her personal life with her professional life.
‘For a long time I put my career on hold, to be next to Gerard, so he could play football,’ Shakira said. ‘There was a lot of sacrifice for love.’
